vintage barber

What is Vintage Barber and how I have come up with the idea of giving a different perspective to this project.

BarberBox 20024 is the outcome of years of sweat and blood of a young man from my hometown in Italy, Andrea.

We grew up together. Same school, same friends, same way to see things but a slightly different mindset though.

He has always been diligent and persevering after we got out of school.

He wanted to save money, get some experience and then open his own barbershop, eventually.

I think that if I had to pick someone who got himself into a lot more situations than me, it surely be him.

However, as I have mentioned a few lines ago, he was very determined and totally into his cause.

After working as a security guard, estate agent, a two-night bartender and many other professions I won't mention, he finally found his own way back to where he belongs.

Years have passed and finally, he has been able to find a quite nice spot in the town he lives in and consequentially, open up a barbershop.

I remember when I first set a foot inside of that tiny lovely place, I have suddenly thought about something different for him, something that will represent who he is and what he's been through.

I wanted to give people the story of a guy who has never given up and who has never changed to pleasure others.

With Vintage Barber, my aim was to create something abstract but direct.

The entire story is completely colourless and wants to showcase fractions of moments where Andrea's personality is pictured while dancing along with his professionalism.
