This short series has been taken during the celebrations of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in the picturesque city of York, in Yorkshire.

York's in Jubilee is a symbolic representation of the devotion of people to the Royals and the valorisation of their presence and importance in the country.

The uniqueness of York has helped make the series more intriguing because of its historical contrast between the old and the new; the old generation of people celebrating with enthusiasm against a younger and less Jubilous one, Roman and Tudor architecture against modern one, Viking-themed pubs against Pret.

The diversity of backgrounds offered by the city, gave me the chance of capturing images both candid and strong, colorful and cold, quiet and chaotic.
